Lunches and evening meals are available every day, and we are renowned for our fresh, home-cooked food which is generally purchased from local suppliers. Supervised children are welcome in the pub and restaurant, where high chairs are available.

 

We have just completed at £30,000 refurbishment which was celebrated by a very successful "invitation only" Casino Evening.

 

Traditional pub games are played on a regular basis, with log fires for the winter evenings or, when the weather is warmer, we have a garden with patio heaters.

 

Please note we have an Annual August Bank Holiday Beer Festival with 20 plus real ales. The event in 2010 will be the 10th Festival!

 

There is also a regular monthly event - the Third Thursday in every month at 8pm is our Charity Quiz (proceeds to local charities).

 

There are 8 en-suite rooms contained in the newly constructed annexe at the rear. Each room has an en-suite bathroom or shower room plus TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is taken in the pub restaurant. The B & B accommodation has its own private parking facilities, or guests can park in the larger main car park.

Charity Book Swap

Our pub now has a "Charity book swap" with proceeds going to the Village Hall - a book swap is 20 pence per book, but if anybody does not have a book to swap, it is £1 per book, and any donations of unwanted books would be gratefully received.
